Lack of garda patrol cars sparks concern

THE lack of garda resources in west Donegal is posing a serious risk to gardaí and the community, a local councillor has said.

Major concern has been raised after it has come to light that two garda stations are currently without a patrol car.

Garda Stations in Milford and Falcarragh do not currently have a patrol car, while stations in Creeslough and Dunfanaghy are currently splitting use of a patrol vehicle.

The lack of resources has been described as “unacceptable” by Councillor Michael McClafferty.
