The visitors started this encounter brightly and took the lead after nine minutes of play through a Jake Doyle header at the back post.

The Wexford outfit took this slender advantage into the interval but Kevin McHugh’s men began Act Two with real purpose in pursuit of a leveller.

The frame of the goal was struck twice in the opening 10 minutes of the second stanza following efforts from Shaunie Bradley and Conor Tourish before they eventually did find the back of the net.

Just after the hour mark, Tony McNamee lofted the ball towards the back post where Daniel Lacerda rose to direct it home, scoring his first goal in the blue and white jersey.

The home side pushed hard for a winning goal for the remainder of the contest but it didn’t arrive and they had to settle for a share of the spoils following another positive display.

The Navenny Street club are back in action at Finn Park next Friday night when Treaty United make the journey up to face Kevin McHugh’s men.
