Congratulations to Kilmacrenan Black team, winners of the Donegal Women’s seven-a-side Winter League.
Kilmacrenan Black 4 Keadue Rovers 2 – Kilmacrenan went behind to Keadue after 2 minutes but soon responded with quick goals through Roisin McCafferty and Geraldine McLaughlin.
Geraldine soon added a third to make it 3-1 at half-time. After the break, Roisin not to be out done by Geraldine added her second. Keadue got a consolation to make it 4-2 at full-time.
Kilmacrenan Black 5 Cappry Rovers 1. Straight from the kick-off, Cappry took the lead. Kilmacrennan took a while to settle but once they did, they took complete control, with a quick hat-trick from Ciara McGarvey making it 3-1 at half-time.
Geraldine added a 4th in the second-half and the scoring was rounded off when Kelsee Fay scored with a fine finish.
Congratulations again to the team on winning the overall league and well done to the coaches as well.
