PREPARATIONS are well underway for the very popular Kildarragh Fair in Creeslough which returns from August 17 to 20.
There will be family fun for everyone as well as dancing to some of the best bands in Ireland.
Over the years the Kildarragh Fair has raised thousands of Euro for local causes and this year’s event is no different with money raised going towards the fundraising efforts of Scoil Mhuire National School, Creeslough which has carried out a lot of improvements and development over the past few years.
The festival gets underway on Thursday, August 17 with the return of Bingo Loco to Kildarragh.
On Friday, August 18, the annual 5k fun run and walk takes place and there will be entertainment on stage later in the evening with the Whistling Donkeys retuning to Kildarragh as well as music from One for the Road.
The festival continues over the weekend and one of the highlights will be the Family Fun Day at McCarry’s on Saturday.
The fun day runs from 11am until 4pm. There will be bouncy castles, face painting, Tug of War and much more with a Sheep Show running during the day as well.
There promises to be plenty of interest in the Tractor and Vintage Car Run as well as a Honda 50 and Honda 90 Run with modern and vintage tractors welcome.
This event will be followed by music with the Honda 50 Man himself Seamus Moore.
The Festival finishes on Sundaywith music from Dan McCabe and the Danny Byrne Band.
