Kilcar’s McHugh and McBrearty make the Team of the Week

Kilcar duo Ryan McHugh and Patrick McBrearty have both been named in the Football Team of the Week for their performances against Clare in Castlebar.

Donegal needed a big win and hope for a Tyrone win over Cork and they got off to a perfect start with McHugh rifling into the roof of the net after five minutes.

The defender also added a further four scores from play, while his clubmate was also prolific.

McBrearty hit five points, four coming from play and he looked back to his best on Saturday in MacHale Park as Donegal go straight into the All-Ireland quarter-finals, due to be played on the weekend of June 29/30 in Croke Park.
