Key fishery talks in Brussels

DONEGAL fishermen are watching anxiously for the outcome of fishery talks taking place in Brussels yesterday and today (Friday).
KFO chairman Sean O’Donoghue attended the annual EU Fisheries Council with Minister Simon Coveney, determined to overturn  proposed quota cuts he described as “completely unjustified”.
Mr O’Donoghue said EU Commissioner Maria Damanaki was intent on cuts “in principle” for a huge range of stocks.
