FORMER Donegal player Kevin Cassidy has called time on his senior club career.
He confired the news via twitter tonight following Gaoth Dobhair’s exit from the 2016 Donegal Senior Football Championship.
Gaoth Dobhair lost 2-18 to 0-11 against reigning champions Naomh Conaill in Davy Brennan Memoiral Park, a result which ends the Gaeltacht club’s participation in this year’s Donegal Sneior Football Championship.
“After 18 years playing senior the end has arrived unfortunately. Time passes too quickly” his message read.
Earlier, Cassidy scored three points for Conal Sheridan’s team where he was joined by former Donegal colleagues Neil and Eamon McGee.
Winner of two Dr Maguire medals with his club (2002 and ’06), Cassidy was also manager of the Magheragallon club two years ago.
