Keith Cowan has joined up with Dergview for the 2023/24 season.
The Castlederg based side announced four signings last night, including the former Finn Harps captain, along with Josh Maxwell of Killybegs.
Finn Harps announced the departure of the Ramelton defender last night, half a season through his second spell at the club.
Cowan joined the Harps after a year at Drogheda United following two seasons in the Northern Irish Premiership and will join up with former Finn Harps coach Tommy Canning at Darragh Park in the NIFL Championhip.
Cowan commented on Twitter yesterday upon his departure from the Harps, saying: “Regrettably my 2nd spell @FinnHarpsFC has come to an end. It has been a difficult decision, but one that has been made in the interest of both the team and myself. I did not want to give the role any less than it deserves. However, family and work commitments must take precedence at this time in my life.
“I would like to thank the gaffer, his staff, but most of all my teammates and wish them and the club every success in the future.
“Up the Harps.”
Meanwhile, former Finn Harps underage, St Catherines and Bonagee United man Josh Maxwell has also joined Dergview.
In June, Dergview also completed the signings of Conor and Stephen Black, Gareth Harkin and Jack Parke from Bonagee United.
