Kavanagh concentrating on St Eunan’s at present

BY RYAN FERRY

RORY Kavanagh’s name has been strongly linked with the vacant Donegal manager’s role in recent weeks but the 2012 All-Ireland winner says he’s concentrating on St Eunan’s until their season is finished.

Donegal have been without a manager since July 20 when Declan Bonner stepped down.

Kavanagh led St Eunan’s to the Dr Maguire Cup last year, and has been touted as a possible successor to Bonner.

The Letterkenny man was at the helm for St Eunan’s as they produced an impressive display to defeat Kilcar by 1-13 to 1-11 in Saturday’s Donegal SFC semi-final.

That sets up a tasty county final with Naomh Conaill on Sunday week.

Kavanagh was asked about the Donegal position after Saturday’s match and said: “I’m just concentrating on St Eunan’s now until our season is finished.

We have a big job ahead of us now next week so that’s where my full focus lies.”
