Junior and Young Chef Awards officially launched at Centra Coyle’s of Raphoe

The heat is on for Donegal’s young chefs, as the Junior & Young Chef Awards have officially launched. This exciting culinary competition will be a major highlight of the Donegal Festival of Food, taking place on May 24 and May 25, 2025, and is proudly sponsored by Centra.

Open to aspiring chefs across the county, entrants are asked to create a dish using ingredients from their local Donegal Centra store. The competition aims to inspire creativity, boost kitchen confidence, and celebrate Donegal’s fantastic local produce.

In an exciting twist, the Top 3 finalists in both the Junior and Young Chef categories will be invited to cook live during the Festival weekend, showcasing their dish in front of a live audience and a panel of expert judges – including world-renowned chef Marco Pierre White.
