AS PART of the Dungloe Women’s Weekend, a 5k fun run and walk is being held this evening (Good Friday), March 29, in aid of Baby Lucy.
The event is raising funds for eight-month old Lucy Gallagher, the daughter of Carleen and Gary Gallagher from Maghery, who is still at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin.
Lucy was born with a rare genetic skin condition called Harlequin Ichthyosis. She is the only one with the condition in Ireland and there are less than 100 word-wide.
Registration begins at McDevitt’s Filling Station, Mill Road, at 5.30pm, with the race beginning at 6.30pm sharp.
Refreshments will be served afterwards at Ionad Teampaill Chróine. Entry fee is €5 per person or €10 for a family entry.
Go along and join the fun for a good cause.
