Jim plots next move

Jim McGuinness, All-Ireland winning Donegal manager.

SAM Maguire has hardly had the time to put his feet under the table in Donegal, but already Jim McGuinness is plotting his next move.

After their epic All-Ireland final win over Mayo on Sunday, Donegal has been in party mode all week and the squad has been to the four corners of the county parading Sam.

Amid all the euphoria, McGuinness has still managed to find the time to think about 2013.

The light never goes out and in an interview earlier this week the big Glenties man was of the firm opinion that there would be no retirements from his group of 33, who have brought Sam Maguire back to the county for only the second time ever.

“I’d be shocked if there was,” McGuinness said when asked if he felt any of his players would head off into the sunset with their All-Ireland medals.
