Jason Quigley ready to rumble in historic PPV

Jason Quigley admits the initial stages of the Covid-19 lockdown filled him with trepidation.

Following his first professional defeat to mouthy Bahamian Tureano Johnston in California last July, he’d managed to re-rail his world middleweight title ambitions with back to back wins over Abraham Cordero and Fernando Marin in the space of just seven weeks, either side of Christmas.

Andy Lee had come on board as his new trainer and there appeared to be a new direction to go alongside a fresh focus and drive.

But the coronavirus – for everyone – brought unanticipated anxiety on both a professional and personal level. But settled in and locked down at home in Ballybofey, Quigley soon began to wrap some perspective around the situation…
