Your skin is the biggest organ you have and probably the one you will try to take the most care of! So it is important to look after it, it shows your age, your amount of sleep and how tired you are.
It is important to look after it by avoiding these skin sins and helping it glow; Do not wear your make up to bed. It is at night is when all of your skins rejuvenation happens.
If you wear your full days make up to bed your skin can’t get the oxygen it needs. When skin is suffocated, your natural collagen building process is compromised and it will also clog pores.
This clogging acts as food for bacteria, which can cause breakouts and make pores more visible. In addition, if you don’t wash your face at night, you’re not doing anything to fight aging, combat pimples or treat other skin issues since you’re not exfoliating or adding beneficial spot treatments or moisturizers.
Do not even think about skipping sleep. There is just no way you can look great if you are sleep deprived. Your body repairs itself when you are sleeping. When your body is fighting to say awake muscle tone relaxes so you look saggy, blood pressure drops which robs skin of color and you’re prone to puffiness due to poor circulation. Even more reasons to get the recommended seven to eight hours of sleep a night.
Skipping sunscreen ages you. The best way to keep your skin from getting wrinkled, saggy, and speckled is sunscreen, SPF 20/30 is perfect. Broad-spectrum formulas, meaning they shield against both UVA and UVB rays, offer the longest-lasting protection. Apply a whole tablespoon to your face, and the same amount on your neck and chest area.
Drinking too much ages and dehydrates you instantly. Now, we’re not taking away all your fun—you can still have a glass of something. But drink more than one cocktail a day, and your skin suffers. Alcohol increases the level inflammatory agents in the bloodstream; which can hasten skin sagging over time.
Wrong products can cause more damage that good. Using stuff that’s wrong for your skin type is a hugely common mistake, go counter as ask what you should be using based on your skin and expectations, do not just pick up the first thing you see or the best review you have read. Ignoring your neck and chest is something we are all guilty of.
Skin care doesn’t stop at your jawline. Below these areas are almost always exposed, and yet they rarely receive same level of hydration and sun protection as the face.
But the skin there is more delicate and just as vulnerable to aging. The next time you apply serum, face cream, or sunscreen or give yourself an exfoliating treatment, extend everything down to your décolletage.
