‘It’s been a privilege’ – Confirmation that Clare Clothing is to close in Letterkenny

Clare McNickle has offered a big thank you to her friends and many customers for their loyal support as she confirms her plans to close Clare Clothing in Letterkenny.

News that Clare Clothing is to close after almost 26 years has prompted many messages of goodwill, but it will be seen as yet another major blow to the town.

Clare Clothing, which operated in different locations in the town since first opening in 2000, moved to its new store on Main Street in December 2020.

“It’s been a privilege, it’s been great. I have enjoyed it and I hope my customers have too,” Clare said.

“It’s the end of an era for me personally

“I just want to thank everybody for their continued support, their custom and their  friendship. But it’s time for a change.”

Clare Clothing are currently running a closing down sale and Clare is hoping her customers will call in and pick up a bargain before the store closes.
