‘It behoves us all to do whatever is necessary to resolve this mystery’

Mr James McGlynn from Ballaghderg, Letterkenny, requested the inquest, believing it may be his brother, Noel Joseph, who disappeared in June, 1983.

It has emerged over recent weeks that gardai took a photograph of the body, and DNA samples. However, at the inquest before Letterkenny Coroner’s Court yesterday, Dr David Barry, who performed the autopsy in 1983, said that the photographs were of little assistance to the inquest.
