Investigation after pair gain access to hospital roof

SAOLTA Health Care Group have launched an investigation into how two members of the public gained entry to the roof space at Letterkenny University Hospital. The incident occurred on Monday evening and was captured on video and uploaded to social media.

A man and woman filmed themselves in the roof space of the hospital and were drinking, smoking and playing a ouija board.

A spokesperson for the Gardai told the Donegal News: “Gardaí in Letterkenny were contacted by a woman who was locked out onto the roof of Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, 11th November 2019 at approximately 5.30pm. Hospital maintenance staff rectified the situation. No offences disclosed.”

A spokesperson for Saolta University Health Care Group, said: “There was an incident on Monday night where two unauthorised members of the public gained access to a part of the hospital where work was being undertaken by contractors. It is not know how the pair managed to gain access to the roof space.”
