Gardaí are investigating an burglary in Letterkenny in which an attempt was made to steal a copper cylinder.
The incident happened at Oaklands Park on Monday, April 8, between the hours of 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
The rear window of a vacant property in that area was smashed and entry was gained. An attempt to steal a copper cylinder was made but it was then abandoned outside the property.
Water damage was caused to the inside of the house.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity in the area that day to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074) 9167100. Anybody with relevant information is asked to contact Gardaí directly or they may call the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
