Gardaí are investigating an burglary in Letterkenny in which an attempt was made to steal a copper cylinder.
The incident happened at Oaklands Park on Monday, April 8, between the hours of 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
The rear window of a vacant property in that area was smashed and entry was gained. An attempt to steal a copper cylinder was made but it was then abandoned outside the property.

Water damage was caused to the inside of the house.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity in the area that day to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074) 9167100.
