Internet Safety Day: Parents and teachers urged to talk

PARENTS and teachers across Donegal are being urged talk about internet safety today, as Internet Safety Day takes place.

Gardaí across Donegal are calling to schools this week to talk about internet safety.

“We encourage parents in particular to have a look at www.webwise.ie where there is a wealth of information to be found in relation to the protection of children online,” said a garda spokesperson.

A webinar for parents will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12,  and you can register to take part on the webwise site.

“There are also fantastic resources in there for children and for teachers. We encourage everyone to go in and have a look,” added the garda spokesperson.
