One of Wales’ top young singers, Meinir Gwilym, is coming to Bunbeg on Saturday night.
THIS Saturday, November 24, the Cabaret Craicéailte at Tigh Hiúdaí Bhig, Bunbeg, will truly have an international flair.
The hugely popular event, which attracts visitors from all over the country, will feature everything from musicians, singers, dancers, and even a cook.
Organiser Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí is delighted to welcome a down-sized version of Kíla to the cabaret, following the full band’s roaring success at the Oireachtas cabaret.
Kíla Beag will feature the members Colm Ó Snodaigh, Rossa Ó Snodaigh and Seanán Ó Braonáinn who will play a wonderful mixture of songs and tunes.
Back at the cabaret after bringing the house down to rupture of applause in the past month, the Craicéailte is delighted to welcome back Flamenco group, Sarumba.
Giving Saturday’s event a real international flair will be the appearance of one of Wales’ top young singers Meinir Gwilym of Cool Cymru which is linked to Cabaret Craicéailte.
Always a very welcome and special guest, renowned accordion player Pól Mac Ruairí, the Prince of Tory Island, will be returning to the cabaret to play some tunes.
There will be seán nós dancing by Marian Connolly from Connemara, who will also teach a few steps to those who would like to, and Diane Ní Chanainn, singer and dancer, will doing some old Donegal classics.
TV Chef Ruairi Ó Morachaín, series Rory – The Druid Chef, will be give a very unique culinary exhibition where he will cook a Christmas Dinner with an emphasis on indigenous cooking.
Acts appearing from now until March include Gerry O’Connor and his friends, Moxie, In Their Thousands, Bonny Men, Seo Linn, Fidíl, Daithí Ó Drónaí, Edwina Guckian agus damhsóirí sean nóis an tSionainn, Bréag, Boss Sound Manifesto, and many others.
