DONEGAL’S premier summer event on the Wild Atlantic Way, Earagail Arts Festival hosts top international acts this weekend.
As part of its fifth Donegal International Folk & Roots Weekend, the festival will host the incredible Moonlight Benjamin this Saturday 13th July.
One of the hot tips of this year’s festival line-up, Moonlight is sure to be a highlight of the annual weekend presented in association with the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, where she will be performing, supported by The Jack McHale Trio.

trance in a new and explosive style! Organisers are pleased to be returning to Castle Grove Country House Hotel, Letterkenny on Sunday, 14th July (4pm) as The Donegal International Folk & Roots BBQ presents Morgan O’Kane.
Following last year’s inaugural Folk & Roots Sunday Americana BBQ the festival returns to the historic 17th century surroundings of Castle Grove with Virginia-born virtuoso banjoist and songwriter Morgan O’Kane, joined by one of Donegal’s finest duos, Without Willow.
Joan Wasser is an American musician, singer-songwriter and producer. She began her career playing violin with the Dambuilders and played with Black Beetle, Antony and the Johnsons, and Those Bastard Souls. Since 2004 she has released her solo material as Joan As Police Woman and on May 24 released her new new triple album compilation, ‘JOANTHOLOGY’. She plays An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny on Sunday 14th July.
MÓR MUSIC & ARTS TRAIL
On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, the festival will host two days of live music performances, comedy and spoken word, day and night across five venues on one of Ireland’s most stunning islands along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Commencing with Day 1 on Saturday afternoon, some of the finest Irish solo artists including Oscar Jennings, Conor Mason and Leila Jane will take to the stage at Neilys on the road west on the island, whilst during the afternoon, Phil Bans plays host to The Green Island’s legendary traditional session and Dublin folk group Martello. Day 1 culminates in a special late night Mountain Stage at Earlys with Donegal’s own Eve Belle and a welcome return to the island by Dundalk’s Accidents In The Workplace who will be performing on Arranmore for the third year in a row.
Day 2 of the Mór Music & Arts Trail presents a programme of international Gaelic culture. Commencing with an afternoon of Irish and Scottish Gaelic song and spoken word with Rody Gorman, Hamish McLeod, Josie Duncan and Signy Jakobsdottir,
Thatchers of the Acropolis, Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde agus aíonna speisialta and more music from The Green Island and Martello in Phil Bans.
The second day will draw to a close with the acclaimed poet Stephen James Smith, Diane Ní Chanainn (Diane Cannon) & Manus Lunny, Clann Mhic Ruairí and headlined by Ríoghnach Connolly and Ellis Davies’ sevenpiece funk outfit, Honeyfeet at Earlys.
