Intermediate champions Naomh Muire get ready to light up their club

The banks

BY SEÁN P. FEENY
MINISTER of State Dinny McGinley TD will officially switch on the new flood lights at the grounds of newly-crowned Donegal Intermediate Senior Champions CLG Naomh Muire at the Banks in Mullaghderg tonight, October 18.

The Lower Rosses club received incredible support in raising funds for the new lights, especially during its ‘Light Up Your Club’ online campaign.

The support came not only from domestic members of the parish of Annagry, but also ex-Pat club members scattered all over the world, many of whom donated a bulb in memory of a loved one.

There were so many kind gestures made during the fund-raising campaign, including the friends of the late Conor Boyle who donated a bulb in memory of the young man who tragically passed away recently in London.

Deputy McGinley will switch on the lights at 8pm and everyone is welcome. Following this there will also be a launch of a new language development plan in the club house, which will encourage more use of the Irish language by club members.
