Intermediate and Junior GAA draws scrapped

FOLLOWING confirmation this morning the entire GAA Intermediate and Junior Championship draws have to be re-drawn, provisional dates have been released for the group stages of the 2013 Senior Championship.

The draws for the Donegal Gaelic football championships were made at the Raidió na Gaeltachta studios in Bunbeg last Sunday afternoon.
However, the Intermediate and Junior Championship draws have since been scrapped and were due to be redrawn tonight.

It a letter to clubs on Wednesday, CCC Secretary Sean McGinley confirmed that both the Intermediate and Junior Championship draws would be redrawn tonight.

“Due to non complience of Regulation 37 of Coiste Chondae Dhun na nGall 2012 the Intermediate and Junior Championship will be redrawn on Thursay, 22nd February in The Abbey Hotel Donegal Town.

“The CCC will be meeting at 7.30pm and the draw will take place at 8.30 pm. If any club wishes to send a delegate to the draw they are free to do so.The meeting room is upstairs at the back of Small Bar over the Main Bar or ask at reception,” the letter to clubs reads.
