FIVE inspirational speakers will give a talk at a special event in Letterkenny tomorrow (Saturday) evening which is designed to motivate Donegal people of all ages into having a ‘different sense of perspective.’

Organised by Junior Chamber Ireland (JCI) Donegal, ‘Aspire to Inspire’ will be held in Gallagher’s Hotel and include our own columnist and public speaker, Nikki Bradley, as well as comedian Pauric Gallagher from Raphoe and Letterkenny chef, Martin Anderson.

Also on the bill will be David Burns and Maghnus Collins, organisers of ‘The Race’, a gruelling 24-hour endurance race recently held in Donegal.

Ms Bradley, a JCI Donegal member, spoke to the Donegal News earlier this week, and explained the rationale behind the event which is open to members of the public.

“This event has been designed to motivate Donegal people into having a different take on life, and or, their business, studies or career,” she said.

“JCI is a global network for professionals, entrepreneurs, and just about everyone else, to meet, learn and grown. It is also about motivating and that’s what we also do in JCI Donegal. We hope that people who come along tomorrow evening will leave with a different sense of perspective.”

Speakers include people from all walks of life, including a chef, comedian, actor and writer and two adventurers.

“We have a wide variation of speakers, all with their own little bit of humour, so it should be a great way to spend a Saturday evening. “David Burns and Maghnus Collins are quite high profile, both nationally and internationally, and this is a great opportunity to see speakers of such a high calibre in Donegal. Basically, this is an event for Donegal people which has been organised by Donegal people. It’s not about business and even non-members of JCI can come along.”

The event opens with a wine reception at 7 pm and the first speaker will start at 7:30 pm. Entry is just €7 non-members and €5 for members.
