The Inch Mile Swim Fest, which was to have taken place in Rathmullan last month, has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 30th.
The event was originally planned for Saturday, August 26th, but organisers were forced to cancel the swim after water tests indicated higher than normal E-coli levels.
The Inch Mile Swim Fest caters for all levels of swimmers and people interested in the water and the coast, and includes two events – a one-mile competitive swim and a 500-metre participation swim.
A total of 144 swimmers took part in Inch Mile Swim and Kinnegar 500 events last year.
The weekend swimming spectacle is being organised by the Gartan Open Water Swimmers, in conjunction with Donegal Sports Partnership and Swim Ireland.
The Inch Swim Fest was first held in 2019, but did not take place in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid-19 restrictions.
