In pictures: Come from Away delights at An Grianán

THERE’S  been a wonderful reaction among audiences attending the first few performances of the Tony winning musical ‘Come from Away’ which has been  brought  to the stage in An Grianán Theatre by Letterkenny Musical Society.

And perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that the production has gone down a treat. After all, there is plenty of outstanding talent on stage for a spectacular show that is smarter, funnier and far more moving than audiences ever expect.

It tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town of Gander in Newfoundland, Canada, that welcomed them when 38 planes were diverted there in the wake of the September 11 attacks in 2001.

Letterkenny Musical Society is the first amateur society to perform the much-loved musical in Donegal, Derry or Strabane.

It opened on Tuesday night and continues until Saturday, March 14.
