In-lamb ewes feared stolen are found safe

SEVEN in-lamb ewes reported stolen last week have been located safe.

Last week, gardaí in Letterkenny issued an appeal in relation to the suspected theft of seven in lamb ewes from the Downings area between March 9 and the following day.

Gardaí have confirmed that the in lamb ewes have been located and were in fact lost and not stolen as previously thought.

A garda spokesperson said: “The sheep were found as a result of the appeal and the owner received a couple of calls in relation to the sheep following last week’s show. We would like to thank everybody involved for reaching out to the owner.”
