Mayo had the breeze but Donegal were excellent with Oisin Gallen to the fore and they were firmly in charge at the break.

HT: Donegal 0-11 Mayo 0-5

Mayo started the second half with intent and Donegal goalkeeper Gavin Mulreany had to make a couple of good saves.

However, Ryan McHugh settled Donegal with a two-pointer and then Conor O’Donnell scored a super goal in the 46th minute.

Donegal were always in control after that and eased their way to victory.
