Donegal 1-20 Cork 2-6
Donegal produced an impressive display as they got the better of Cork in their NFL Division 2 League opener in MacCumhaill Park this afternoon.
The home side kicked the first four points of the match with the wind supporting them but Cork then got a goal through Eoghan McSweeney.
Donegal found their feet again and they landed some great scores as they led by 0-12 to 1-3 at half-time with Odhran Doherty particularly to the fore.
Donegal were excellent after the restart and scored three points on the trot but they then conceded a sloppy goal to Chris Og Jones.
However, the home side were never in any great danger and they finished strongly with Patrick McBrearty hammering home a goal.
Donegal are off to a winning start and are away to Cavan next Sunday.
