THERE will be disappointment this afternoon as the Illistrin National School’s parents association have taken to social media this afternoon to announce the postponement of their annual 5k run and walk.
The event which was meant to take place this evening June 12, was postponed due to the yellow weather warning that has been put in place.
Met Éireann’s yellow weather warning will be in place in Donegal until 9pm tonight. They have warned that heavy rainfall, flooding and poor travelling conditions are to be expected. There is also a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Fortunately, the 5K run and walk has been rescheduled for Tuesday June 24 at 7:30pm.
