GARDAI in Donegal have warned anyone found supplying or selling ‘heavy duty’ illegal fireworks in the run up to Halloween will be met with the full rigours of the law.
Inspector Kevin Gatley has warned that a targeted garda operation will be put in place over the coming weeks against the trade of illegal fireworks, particularly against cross border criminals.
Inspector Gately said the thrust of the operation was to protect children against serious injury.
