Hunger is there for Glenfin

GLENFIN will be looking to win the title they lost to Termon last year back this weekend as the two sides clash in the final for the fifth successive year.

The 2022 final saw Glenfin look to seal three-in-a-row but after extra-time couldn’t separate themselves and Termon, it came down to 25 metre frees, which saw Termon win 5-4.

“They were very sore after last year,” Glenfin ladies manager Frank Ward admitted.

“It was a horrible way to lose. Somebody had to win it but I think there should be a better way and that’s not coming from a losing side, if the tables were turned you would still agree but rules are rules.

“The hunger should be there to get that title back that they had the year before but Termon are such a formidable team and they’ve been there before and they have the experience.”
