THE Registrar’s Court in Letterkenny today (Monday) has 284 house repossession cases listed for hearing.
A number of the cases were being adjourned this morning but the vast majority are listed as going on.
Registrar Geraldine O’Connor told the court the March list is full and adjourned many of the motions to June due to the large volume of cases going through.
The cases, taken by banks, building societies and mortgage companies, were put back until today after being mentioned and adjourned in the courts last year.
A number of those involved in the cases are putting forward their arguments as to why repossession orders should not be granted.
