Human error caused account problems at Ulster Bank

ULSTER Bank has confirmed that it was human error that caused problems with transactions in some of their accounts today.

Some customers discovered that transactions made on Friday were not showing up in their accounts this morning.

A Spokesperson for Ulster Bank said: “As a result of human error, a payment file did not process last night, which means that some transactions applied to some customers accounts since 20th April are temporarily not showing. We investigated this issue as a matter of urgency and have already taken the necessary corrective action which will see recovery actions overnight. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and no customer will be left out of pocket as a result of this issue. Emergency Cash is available for impacted customers.
