FINN Harps face another long journey down the country as they face Kerry FC on Friday night in Mounthawk Park.
The game comes just one week after the players travelled down to Cork to draw 2-2 with the champions.
Harps are looking to get into the promotion play-off places. They currently sit in sixth with 44 points, three points off a play-off spot with four games to go.
Kerry are looking to go one better than last season, a win would help Conor McCarthy’s side overtake Longford Town and move into ninth place. Kerry currently sit tenth with 23 points.
The Harps’ defence will have to be alert to keep the league’s top goalscorer Ryan Kelliher from scoring.
Harps striker Success Edogun is just two goals away from Kelliher’s tally of 13. Edogun is currently the joint-third top goalscorer in the league, with 11 goals.
The two sides have faced off three times already this season, both teams have won one game each, and there has been a draw.
Harps have only won once at Mounthawk Park since Kerry’s creation in 2022. In July 2023, under former boss Dave Rodgers, goals from BJ Banda and Ryan Flood helped the team to victory.
Kerry haven’t won a game in the league since defeated Longford 2-1 in June.
Kick-off on Friday is at 7.45pm.
