ONE of the country’s leading experts on entrepreneurship is coming to Donegal to explore the challenges of growing a successful business.

According to a recent Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) report, almost 2,000 people each month set up a business in Ireland making Irish people among the most entrepreneurial in the world and more likely to have set up their own business than Americans and the citizens of most other European countries.

Paula’s presentation will focus on the challenges of growing a business and the influence of role models and self-belief in developing a growth mind-set in both men and women.

“Entrepreneurial growth doesn’t happen by accident” says Paula. “First and foremost, you need to have the right mindset with a specific focus on growth.”

Paula has been an advisor to successive Governments on national entrepreneurial policy and is also the National Director of ‘Going for Growth’, a programme focused on peer and mentor support as a way to help women entrepreneurs who want to grow their business.

Local businesswoman Sian Breslin of siansplan.com and Donegal Manor, Donegal Town has just joined the next intake of the ‘Going for Growth’ programme.

The event is organised by Donegal County Enterprise Board as part of Enterprising Donegal Business Week 2012. To book your free place (which includes lunch) please contact Celine Carroll on 074 91 60735 or e-mail ccarroll@donegalenterprise.ie
