Derry City 2-2 Finn Harps

Sean Houston scored a late header as Finn Harps salvaged a draw against Derry City at the Brandywell tonight.

Harps scored the opening goal of the game in the 20th minute, when Ryan Curran headed to the net after Dave Scully’s shot hit the crossbar.

Derry improved after that, and Rory Patterson spurned a great chance to level when he shot wide after Keith Ward sent him through on goal.

Ollie Horgan’s Harps were under the cosh in the second half and they eventually succumbed to the pressure when Josh Daniels equalised in the 84th minute.

Patterson put Derry in front with a powerful shot four minutes later, but Houston’s looping header salvaged a share of the spoils for Harps in injury-time.
