FOLLOWING A gruelling 24-hour horse trek across Donegal, a young Newtowncunningham leaving cert student has raised over €3,000 for the Donegal Down Syndrome Association.
On Friday, February 21, Clodagh Barry set off on her marathon horseback ride across the county. The trip took Clodagh from Donegal’s most north-westerly point at Arranmore Lighthouse, to Donegal’s most northerly point at Malin Head, non-stop, taking over 24 hours.
Clodagh recently presented the cheque (see above) for €3,300 to Gearoid Melvin and Maureen Jordan, Chairman and Secretary of the Donegal Down Syndrome Association.
But, in fact, Clodagh raised €3,500 for the charity as more funds came in following the presentation. Congratulations to Clodagh on a great achievement for a very worthy cause, Donegal Down Syndrome Association.
