Horse-riding programme for children with a disability

Donegal Sports Partnership will hold a six-week programme of horse-riding lessons for children with a disability in conjunction with Lisa Wallace at Orchard Stables in Manorcunningham.
The programme will commence on Saturday, August 12th, and will combine horse riding with grooming and feeding.
The initiative will provide an opportunity for the children to learn a new sport. It has therapeutic and physical benefits and will also help improve confidence, coordination and interpersonal skills. The two hourly slots are from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm, and from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm.
The cost for the six-week programme is €60. Places are limited, so bookings will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
