FINN Harps manager Ollie Horgan is wary of Galway United as they make their way to Ballybofey for a crunch league game tonight (Friday).
Horgan’s squad are closing in on a play-off spot, and they could still get their hands on the league title.
Galway have had a disappointing campaign, and are already out of the running for a spot in the play-offs.
However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be formidable opposition for Horgan’s outfit.
“We’re playing a proper side with proper players, and they are full-time, and they probably feel that they have underachieved,” said the Harps boss.
“They will be trying to prove a point on Friday night, and there is no doubt that they are capable of doing that.
“They have a lot of potential and serious talent. You look at Robbie Williams and Ryan Connolly and they have a lot of capabilities all over the pitch.
“I think they are going to do some damage to a team before the end of the season and I just pray to God that it is not us.”
Harps could secure a spot in the play-offs this week if they take full points from the game with Galway, and Longford Town fail to defeat Cabinteely.
However, Horgan says there could be a few twists and turns on Friday night.
“I haven’t even gone into that detail, and I don’t mean to be flippant or anything by saying that.
“I just think this is still on a knife-edge in regards what way it could go.
“Of course we are all hoping it will go positively but there is the other side that could turn against you, and the whole thing could turn against us if we’re not at ourselves.”
