Finn Harps 2-0 Treaty United
Goals from Ryan Rainey and Filip Da Silva were enough for Finn Harps to take their first home win of the season.
Finn Harps took the lead after a spell of pressure through a Ryan Rainey header on 18 minutes.
The captain for the night in Keith Cowan’s absence won the corner himself and Ryan Flood’s in-swinging cross was drilled to the back post where Rainey headed into the corner of the net.
Flood then struck the crossbar with a rasping shot from the edge of the box as Harps went in search of a second.
That would come in the second half however, when Michael Harris played a chipped ball to Daniel Okwute on the right hand side of the box.
Okwute took the shot on at a tight angle, but it hit off the foot of Filip Da Silva, who didn’t know much about it, and the ball trickled into the bottom corner.
The home side saw out the victory for their first three points at Finn Park this season as they move up to sixth place in the table.
