Home win for Finn Harps against Bray Wanderers

Finn Harps 2 Bray Wanderers 0

Goals at the end of either half from David Cawley and Tony McNamee gave Finn Harps another three points in Finn Park against Bray Wanderers.

In a first half with few chances, some quick thinking from McNamee to take a free kick short and play a through ball to Cawley who slotted the ball into the net at the near post to lead just on the stroke of half-time.

Bray had more possession in the second half and Cole Omorehiomwan got in one-on-one with Tim Hiemer but his shot was tame with two minutes remaining.

And great work from the Finn Harps substitutes, especially Sean O’Donnell, who found McNamee on the edge of the box and the captain took a touch before shooting low past Stephen McGuinness to double the lead on 90 minutes.

The result puts Darren Murphy’s side one point behind Cork City at the top of the table and they face UCD next Friday again at Finn Park.
