Carndonagh 0-8 Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin 2-12
Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin won the Junior ‘A’ Championship for the first time in their 35 year history as they dominated to beat Inishowen rivals Carndonagh in O’Donnell Park.
Kevin Lynch hit for a goal in the second minute to set the tone and they raced into a 1-6 to 0-0 lead with just over a quarter of an hour gone.
Lynch kicked two of those from frees as did county star Caolan McColgan, who then lashed a brilliant effort into the net as it looked game over at half-time at 2-9 to 0-3.
The second half was low scoring as Carndonagh hit five points, while Rory Hirrell hit two for Naomh Pádraig as did captain Dermot Keaveney to seal a historic win for the Ture club.
