Killybegs Coast Guard were tasked this evening to a fallen hill walker at Muckross.
The casualty sustained a serious injury and was airlifted by Rescue 118 and transported to hospital.
Taking to social media this evening, a Killybegs Coast Guard spokesperson thanked the emergency services for their assistance.
“We would like to thank the National Ambulance Service (NAS) and Rescue 118 for their assistance today.
“We would also like to thank to locals who helped us today.
“We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
“As always, if you see anyone in difficult on land or sea, Call 112/999 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
