Further heavy showers are forecast for Donegal following a spell of thundery showers which led to flash flooding in Letterkenny over the weekend.
Drivers in Letterkenny were met with dangerous driving conditions due to the heavy downpours on Saturday evening.
This included the Ramelton Road and the Ballyraine area.
The weather is expected to stay quite changeable over the coming days with a mix of dry spells and heavy showers expected.
Conall Ruth is a forecaster with MET Éireann.
He told the Donegal News that there will be no prolonged dry spells in the coming days as weather is expected to remain unsettled right through until next weekend.
Today (Monday) there will be a mix of showers and dry intervals, the morning will start off cloudy and in the afternoon some brighter spells will develop.
But this is when the showers will become heavy and most frequent.
Heavy thundery downpours, which may lead to dangerous driving conditions and localised disruptions, are expected this afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 15 to 18 degrees.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) the weather will be similar. There will be a mix of bright spells and showers that will again become more intense during the afternoon.
Temperatures are also expected to turn slightly cooler with highs between 13 and 16 degrees.
On Wednesday there will be more persistent rain and cloud over Donegal, with less clear spells.
Temperatures will also continue to fall with highs only reaching the low teens, Mr Ruth explained.
Looking ahead, the weather is expected to remain unsettled through the second half of the week.
