Holy Trinity started well and established a 1-2 to 0-1 lead by the eighth minute.

However, the Letterkenny lads improved and four points from Shane O’Donnell helped them get on level terms by the interval.

The second half was nip-and-tuck and St Eunan’s moved into the lead with a free from Conor O’Donnell in the 46th minute.

Cookstown regained the lead when Tiarnan Quinn scored 1-1 in quick succession, before Conor O’Donnell and Tiernan McNamee were both given their marching orders.

Shane O’Donnell scored three late points for St Eunan’s College to send the game to extra-time.

Man-of-the-Match Shane O’Donnell got the only score in the first period of extra-time, but Tiernan Mackle equalised.

That set up a tense finale, and it was Cookstown’s Oran Mulgrew, who kicked a brilliant winning score.
