Health and Beauty: Stroke of Light

stroke of light
A FABULOUS new eye brightner that diffuses dark shadows while visibly reducing fine lines and dark circles.

This illuminating tint provides sheer to medium coverage and blends seamlessly to conceal imperfections for a refreshed, radiant, even-toned look. It instantly illuminates and brightens the under eye area and visibly reduces fine lines and dark circles over time.
Dark circles under the eyes is quite common, they make you look tired even when you are not.

Lack of sleep is not the entire cause of dark circles but can make it appear worse because of swelling around the eyes.

The skin around the eyes is the thinnest and most delicate skin of your entire body where the blood capillaries are much closer to the surface of the skin.

The most common type of under eye circles is usually inherited and has nothing to do with how much sleep you get. It can run in families for a number of reasons.

When blood passes through the veins under your eyes where the skin is very thin dark circles can appear. If the skin is more transparent which is also inherited, the circles will appear darker. Something else that can be inherited is an excess amount of skin pigmentation that gives a blue-black hue under the eyes, which leads to dark circles.

Also those who have a deep hollow in the inner corner of their eyes can have dark circles because of the shadow that is cast near the corner of their eyes.

Although inherited dark circles cannot be prevented, there are a number of things you can do to make sure they are kept as invisible as possible like making sure you get enough sleep and take time to relax. Avoid rubbing or scratching your eyes.

Try placing used tea bags or cucumber slices on your eyes for 15 minutes. Place them in the fridge to cool before using them.
The cucumber slices will reduce puffiness and caffeine in tea bags helps to reduce swelling and discolouration. You will find many eye creams contain caffeine for this reason plus tea contains antioxidants that are beneficial to the skin.

I would advise you to visit your professional therapist and get advice on the correct eye cream to use as there are some very powerful products that give great results.

One being our IS Clinical youth eye which is excellent at targeting the damaged tissue and now we have the powerful Stroke of Light product which is proving to be an absolute success at brightening the under eye area and costs only €25.
