HAUGHEY, Brendan

HAUGHEY, Brendan – passed away, peacefully at home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Maureen, much loved father to Connie and Colette and devoted grandfather to Molly, Katie Mae, Elaina and Theo.

He will be sadly missed by his sons-in-law, Michael and Paul, his brothers Joseph, Gerard and Sean Martin, his sisters Mary and Bríd, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his daughter’s house in Rann a Cille, Teelin from 6 pm this evening (Saturday). House private to family from 9 pm to 12 noon. Removal to St. Columba’s Church, Carrick Sunday evening for 7 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Carrick, on Monday, at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Sligo University Hospital, Oncology Unit, through Curran’s Funeral Services or any family member.

Due to HSE and Government guidelines house, wake and burial are private to family and close friends.

Maureen, Connie, Michael, Colette, Paul and the Haughey and Enright families would like to thank you all for your kind support and your understanding at this difficult time. If you wish to leave a message of sympathy, please do so in the condolence section below.

    So sorry to hear of Brendan’s death. I remember him when I attended the Irish College in Teelin, I’m thinking that was approximately 44 yrs ago! Wow! I have such fond memories of my time spent at the Irish College and the families who lived there and I am deeply sorry to hear of Brendan’s death. May he rest in peace. Imelda Mac Mahon (Miskelly)
