HARVEY’S Point Hotel, Lough Eske, Donegal has been named ‘No 1 Hotel in Ireland’ by worldwide hotel review website TripAdvisor.
This is a remarkable achievement for the hotel which also took the ‘No 1 in Ireland’ title in 2013 and 2014.
Harvey’s Point Hotel was also ranked ‘6th Best Hotel in Europe’ and ‘18th Best Hotel in the World’ in the 2015 TripAdvisor Awards.
In the Europe Region, the Donegal hotel was pipped by the famous Gritti Palace Hotel in Venice for a place in the Top Five.
Harvey’s Point hotelier Deirdre Mc Glone was ‘over the moon’ when she learned the news while promoting the hotel and Irish tourism in Germany.

The entire team is absolutely delighted at this hat trick of successes’, she said. ‘We are very grateful to all our guests who posted reviews on TripAdvisor and for their very positive comments. It was a lovely New Year gift as we complete our 25th Anniversary Year’.
General manager Noel Cunningham said that the hotel has exciting plans for the coming year. ‘We have wonderful Activity Breaks, our Annual Burns Night this coming week-end (January 23-24) and of course our Summer Cabaret’
Harvey’s Point Hotel was also named ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’ in 2014 and received a Gold Medal Award for Excellence. It is also a former AA ‘Hotel of the Year’.
